  • From Zero Triathlon Experience to Winning FIRST Place in her Age Group

    Rockstar Triathlete: Christy Mitchell

    Coaches Notes:

Christy joined my 8-week beginner Tri Program as a stepping stone on her journey to her full Ironman in December in Oman. She had never done a triathlon before and signed up for a Full Ironman- That’s really brave.

We decided to start with the lower-level beginner tri program to improve her fitness and help her complete her first triathlon before advancing into the Performance Program, which includes all the evaluations and long-course details to start preparing for the Full Ironman in December.

The results are in -1st Place in her age group! That does not happen by accident. Christy attended the group sessions to get the feedback she needed to improve every aspect of her triathlon performance. She attended the weekly group coaching calls to learn how to recover, eat, drink, and pace for the race.

Way to go, Christy! Thanks for proving once again how well the 8- week Beginner Tri Program prepares you. And now we have an awesome foundation to build on for the Performance Program for the Full Ironman!

You are a Rockstar Triathlete, Christy! Thanks for trusting Full Circle coaching with your triathlon Journey!

Why did you choose FCC to help with your triathlon journey?
To crush Ironman with a smile on my face, injury-free! (: While I have done swim, bike, run, separately prior to FCC, I’ve never done a triathlon race before. I wasn’t confident about my open water swim abilities or biking outside in Miami. I wanted to elevate my performance and find a local community as I strive towards my goals!

What is your “A” race for this season?
Ironman, Oman Dec 2026. To prove to myself and those around me that nothing is impossible. I don’t want to live life with regrets or let fear deter me from doing ambitious, awesome things! I also want to be living proof that through discipline, consistency, and a smart plan, one can do ANYTHING.

    What are your BIG goals?
To crush Ironman with a smile on my face and injury-free!

Tell me about your success to so far! What were some of your biggest improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run and Nutrition / Health.
I came first in my age group at the Las Olas Half-Olympic race (my first-ever triathlon!)
I went in with no expectations – just an open heart to do my best and to learn and improve in my next race.

Swim – The Las Olas waves were treacherous, but the open-water swim training has been incredibly helpful in preparing me to handle these conditions. The training helped me gain these abilities: staying calm, bilateral breathing, sighting, and practicing efficient swim form to conserve energy.

Bike – Perhaps the bike is where I’ve seen my biggest improvements. I started with no outside bike experience, cycling in Miami, no clip-ins, scared to drink, not able to shift gears effectively, and not able to bike over the big bridge. I conquered all of those things. A few months later, I’ve gained so much confidence, speed, and fitness that my bike speed helped me place first in my age group!

Run – As a runner with a sprinter background, I never really practiced pacing, paid attention to my cadence, or refrained from over-striding.

FCC has helped me immensely with the track workouts to run efficiently while avoiding injuries.

I feel confident that I’ve built a strong base where my speed and endurance will continue to improve.

Nutrition – I now have a special appreciation for its role. I used to train on an empty stomach and suffered many upset stomachs and felt tired. With FCC’s help, I now fuel properly with the right food prior to, during, and after training. I feel good!

Name 2 or 3 things that you feel will make the biggest difference in your triathlon journey.
Training with a community that motivates me to show up and improve… even when I feel tired. A very well-thought-out training schedule by the coaches that addresses all aspects of swim, bike, run, nutrition, strength & conditioning, race plans, etc.

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?
The opportunity to improve my athletic abilities while enjoying the beauty and nature of Miami!

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program?
Give it a try! The coaches really know what they’re doing and the community is so supportive and inspiring!

  • No More Knee Pain, Stronger Climbs, Humberto’s Camp Rockstar Results

    Rockstar Triathlete: Humberto Ramirez

    Coaches Notes:

I had never met Humberto before Ultimate Tricamp, but was so happy his sister encouraged him to join us.

In these cases, when an athlete is brand new to the coaches, we spend extra time evaluating their technique across all three sports and make sure to place them at a training level they can handle.

The exciting part is that the wins can sometimes be instantaneous, as was the case with Humberto.

I corrected his pedaling mechanics and pointed out that this could actually be the cause of his pain during the run.

So many triathletes believe triathlon training is all about swimming, biking, and running.

The problem is that if you don’t know how to swim, bike, or run WELL, you pretty much guarantee pain, then you get discouraged and think the sport is not for you!

My whole program is based on the opposite.

Train the skill, strength, and mobility FIRST, so the body can handle the repetitive movement of swimming, biking, and running.

It’s such a simple, overlooked concept that works 100% of the time.

Humberto benefited from these corrections and improved daily during camp.

Now he is motivated to keep going after camp- Welcome Humberto to my Performance Program on his way to a healthier lifestyle and a Triathlon in October with his family in Italy!

You are a Rockstar Triathlete, Humberto. Thanks for trusting Full Circle Coaching with your Journey!

Why did you choose Ultimate Tri Camp to help with your triathlon journey?

My sister had been training with Erinne for a couple of years. I saw her progress her enthusiasm and her discipline. It motivated me to give it a try.

Please share your BIG Goals and how Ultimate Tri Camp Supported you:
I would say my main goal is to regain the physical condition in which I was before. Ultimate Tri Camp supported me in several ways:

    1) By showing me the multiple components to a well composed efficient training regime

    2) Introducing me to the power of the group. It was very motivating to see all kinds of people striving to better themselves. Everybody caring about one another. It was very inspiring and motivating.

    3) How critical it is to have knowledgeable instructors give you instant feedback. This helped me tremendously on the run and on the bike.

Tell me about your success so far:

I learned how to tackle hills… It was always my greatest challenge, but Erinne’s advice was priceless. I feel my power has improved and that just by adjusting my pedaling technique, “tap my abs” 🙂

Also, nutrition- I’ve always known but been too lazy to work on, is essential. I always thought I would never be able to eat veggies.

However, seeing this amazing group of people overcome much greater challenges made me realize that it has always been an excuse. Anything you set your mind to is possible.

What were some of your BIGGEST improvements in performance at Ultimate Tri Camp?
Just by changing running technique I was able to overcome the pain in my right knee. I also learned how to tackle climbs on the bike. I can now climb hills while controlling my heart rate and pace.

Did you achieve any personal records or goals?

My goal was to be able to- once again, run pain free. This is priceless!

Name 2 or 3 things that you feel will make the biggest difference in your triathlon  performance after participating camp?

    1) Stretching after workouts will help me stay healthier. Will prevent injuries and assist in the recovery.

    2) Changing my nutrition will help me lose weight and become stronger faster.

I believe my performance improvements will allow me to increase my Triathlon distances and tackle more ambitious challenges… Ironman? who knows!!!

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?

The joy of sharing with others the experience of the race, the thrill of the wind in my face as I race on my bike. The phenomenal positive energy from everyone at the events.

What was your favorite part of Ultimate Tri Camp?

The camaraderie of the training group. It was a great feeling. I admire the strength of character of my Tri-camp buddies. They truly are: Rockstars!

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about attending Ultimate Tri Camp?

Open your mind. It does not matter how long you have been training. There are so many things to learn. And the phenomenal energy from the group is contagious. Don’t hesitate, no matter your background join us.

Will you be attending Ultimate Tri Camp again next year?

  • She Didn’t Expect to PR… Then This Happened

    Rockstar Triathlete: Martina Korganoff

    Coaches Notes:

Martina signed up for my Free Week Trial a few months ago, then decided not to join us because she just wasn’t sure. I mentioned there is no obligation to join my training program after the free week, so what did she have to lose? She showed up and enjoyed the week.

I was a little surprised to see that she was a para triathlete. But I actually appreciated that she did not mention that because it simply does not define her.

We decided to take on the challenge of working together, both of us learning from each other to help her improve and move towards her goal of becoming an Olympic Para Triathlete.

She doesn’t mention this below, but I’m a fan of shouting to the Universe about your goals so the whole world can get behind you and this dream!

We have been progressing over the months, figuring out what equipment works best for her. Adapting bike shoes, run shoes, and running blades, etc.

Coach Dennis has been instrumental in helping her get her new BMC Tri Bike and get clipped in. Now, she pretty much leads the group rides.

I knew Ultimate Tri Camp would be a challenge for Martina, but in a good way. I knew she would come away so much more confident and strong.

I have athletes be so afraid of camp because they don’t want to be the “worst one,” or they don’t believe they deserve a whole week of training just for them.

I’m so proud of Martina for not buying into that narrative and for showing up for herself, because she deserves it, and she has this dream, and this brought her one step closer.

I’m sure you’ll hear more about Martina’s successes this year.

Martina, you are a bad-ass rockstar triathlete. I’m so excited for this year with you, and thank you so much for trusting me with your Dreams! Whoop Whoop!

    AGE: 30

    Profession: Real Estate Associate (Realtor)

Why did you choose Ultimate Tri Camp to help with your triathlon journey?
I chose Ultimate Tri Camp because I already train with Erinne in the Full Circle Coaching Triathlon program, and I knew it would be fulfilling and worth it to attend. I had also heard a lot of positive feedback from my teammates about last year’s camp.

Please share your BIG GOALS and how Ultimate Tri Camp supported you:
I have a few races lined up for this year, including Swim Miami 800- and 1-mile swim events, a few Integrity Multisport Sprint Tri’s, and St. Anthony’s. My A race for 2026 is the Haines City Ironman 70.3 in December.

Coach Erinne suggested I attend camp specifically to get experience climbing and descending hills on the bike and run, as this will be the conditions for my A race, and it was important that I experience a similar terrain.

Ultimate Tri Camp was challenging in the best way possible and helped me experience my training in an environment that pushed me to overcome and improve.

Tell me about your success so far:
Swim: My swim has improved a lot. From over 2:00 per 100yd when I started with Full Circle to under 2:00 in general, and a PR at camp of 1:49/100yd, and this week I got my first 1:46/ 100 time!

Bike: In cycling, changing to clip-in shoes has been a huge improvement, and learning to belly breathe as well as eat and drink while riding (all things I had never done before).

Run: I’ve seen improvement across all three sports, but especially in running, where running a mile was painful and hard, and now I can run a 5k without walking. That, for me, is a huge accomplishment, especially since I’ve never been a runner or enjoyed it, and now I’m liking it and excited to get faster.

What were some of your biggest improvements in performance at Ultimate Tri Camp?
I PR’d in my swim with 1:49/100yd. I noticed an improvement in performance because of the daily morning breathing, stretching, and foam rolling before training.

I was also able to shift gears effectively while going up and down the steep hills in Clermont, which was great practice for my brand-new tri bike.

I also PR’d on my 800m run test with 10:28min/mile.

Did you achieve any personal records or goals?
I did not know what to expect in my performance at camp but I definitely did not think I would PR in my swim and run. That was very rewarding and inspired me to continue to see more improvement.

Name 2 or 3 things that you feel will make the biggest difference in your triathlon performance after participating in ultimate tri camp:

    1. Recovery through breath work, stretching, foam rolling, and yoga, while training hard.

    2. Practicing ascending and descending hill riding on my bike, which is hard to do in Miami.

    3. Fueling properly and eating more often throughout my day to have energy to keep up with my training load.

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?
Seeing myself perform better and better. Sometimes you hit a PR and you think “wow,
I did it.” but you think maybe that’s it and then to surpass that and see you could perform even better is an incredible feeling.

The community and the people involved are also a big part of it. The energy and the memories from training with your teammates and seeing them succeed is exciting and rewarding. Putting it all together on race day and crossing that finish line is always a proud moment that pushes me to keep going and try harder.

What was your favorite part of Ultimate Tri Camp?
I loved the bike rides, the views in Clermont are stunning. I also really enjoyed the ice baths and seeing everyone support and encourage each other through them. The nightly dinners were a great way to get to know my teammates on a personal level that we don’t always have time for during regular training sessions when we have to run off to work or whatever responsibilities we have right after.

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about attending Ultimate Tri Camp?
Don’t think about it any longer! You’ll have a great time! Don’t let the word “camp” fool you…there’s lots of fun to be had but you will be challenged and that’s why you will improve.

Will you be attending Ultimate Tri Camp again next year?
I would love to, but I need to see if I’m able to closer to the date, so I don’t know for sure yet. I hope so!

Do you have what it takes?

  • The Danger of Indoor Cycling (and How to Use It the Right Way)

Indoor cycling has exploded in popularity — from platforms like Zwift and Peloton to structured trainer workouts at home.

And while these tools can be incredibly effective…they can also quietly derail your training if you’re not careful.

As both a triathlete and a coach, this is something I see all the time. Athletes working hard. Showing up consistently. Sweating through every session.

    But not actually improving.

    Let’s talk about why.

The Real Problem with Indoor Cycling

The issue isn’t indoor cycling itself, it’s how people are using it.

Many athletes fall into the trap of:

    • Riding hard every session
    • Racing multiple times per week
    • Following random workouts with no progression
    • Skipping recovery

It feels productive. But it’s not.

As cycling coach Hunter Allen explains, riding hard 5–6 times per week indoors is “a recipe for disaster” because it fails to train the correct energy systems and increases the risk of burnout or poor performance later on .

And this lines up with broader coaching guidance the body needs a balance of intensity, volume, and recovery, not constant stress .

Why “Riding Hard Every Day” Doesn’t Work

Here’s the truth most people don’t want to hear:
👉 More intensity does NOT equal better results

    Your body adapts through:

    • Progressive overload
    • Structured intensity
    • Recovery

Without that structure, you’re not building fitness, you’re just accumulating fatigue. And eventually, that shows up as:

    • Plateaued performance
    • Poor outdoor riding
    • Increased injury risk
    • Burnout or loss of motivation

Indoor Cycling vs Outdoor Riding (They’re Not the Same)

Indoor training is a tool but it’s not a perfect replacement for outdoor riding.
    Why?

    • No terrain variability
    • No real-world bike handling
    • Limited position changes
    • Different muscle recruitment patterns

This is why athletes who only ride indoors often struggle when they transition outside. Specificity matters.

If your goal is to race outdoors, you need to train outdoors regularly too.

How to Use Indoor Cycling Effectively

Indoor cycling becomes powerful when it’s used with intention. Here’s what that looks like:

    1. Follow a Structured Plan

Random workouts = random results. A good plan includes:

    • Easy days
    • Hard days
    • Progression over time
    • Recovery built in

    2. Train the Right Energy Systems

Not every ride should be “all out”.
    You need:

    • Aerobic base work
    • Threshold sessions
    • Speed work (in moderation)

    3. Prioritize Recovery

Your body doesn’t improve during workouts, it improves after them.

    4. Combine Indoor + Outdoor Riding

    Use indoor sessions for:

    • Precision workouts
    • Controlled intervals

    Use outdoor rides for:

    • Skill development
    • Race-specific preparation

The Biggest Mistake I See Athletes Make

    They confuse effort with progress.

Just because something feels hard doesn’t mean it’s helping you reach your goals.

Indoor platforms are designed to keep you engaged often by encouraging you to push harder, more often.

    But training isn’t about entertainment.

    It’s about purpose.

    So… Is Indoor Cycling Bad?

    Not at all.

It’s one of the best tools we have, when used correctly. But without a plan?
It becomes exactly what I warn my athletes about:

👉 A lot of work… with very little return.

Want Help Building a Smarter Plan?

    If you’re currently:

    • Riding a lot but not seeing progress
    • Unsure how to structure your training
    • Relying heavily on indoor workouts

    Let’s fix that.

👉 Book a free call here and we’ll map out a training approach that actually works for your goals, your schedule, and your race season.

  • From 4:00 Pace to 70.3 Finisher, Alex’s Rockstar Transformation

    Rockstar Triathlete: Alex Gutierrez

    Coaches Notes:

Alex joined Full Circle Coaching in December 2025, and just one look at him told me he took his fitness very seriously.

He looked like the Incredible Hulk! But he only knew one speed- all out, and that just won’t get you very far if you do not have proper technique.

It took a few months to get him to ever take a recovery day, let alone a week, and to slow down during the training sessions and think about the process of swimming, biking, and running.

He did not swim freestyle at all when we first started for fear of a shoulder dislocation from an old injury. I guaranteed he would not get hurt by following the proper technique and doing the drills, and in just 4 months, going from a 4-minute/100 yards pace for 1000 yards to 2:30/100 yards for a 70.3 is pretty impressive!

The bike and run he learned what pacing meant, so he could reach the volume needed for a long race.

Nutrition planning during training also helped him feel great from start to finish.

During the Puerto Rico 70.3, as I was tracking him on the bike, he went from an 18 mph average up to mile 45 to 13 MPH. I knew something went wrong, but of course had no way of knowing.

Learning post-race that a volunteer threw a water bottle, which bounced off the ground and jammed into his spoke. He flipped his bike several times. And even though his brakes were jammed and his aero bars were broken. He rode to the bike finish and then finished the run.

    Now that is true grit.

Alex, you are a Rockstar Triathlete. through and through. Thank you so much for trusting the process inside my Performance program, and I’m super excited for Florida 70.3 to get your true results from all your efforts! LFG!

    Profession: Business Owner/ Entrepreneur

Why did you choose FCC for help in your triathlon and wellness journey?
I came to FCC after Miami Man. I thought being strong and in great shape would be enough to race well, but I realized I was honestly underprepared for what triathlon really demands. I needed structure, guidance, and a real plan. I needed to learn how to fuel properly, train with purpose, and most importantly, build confidence in the water. FCC gave me all of this

What is your “A” Race for this Season:
Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast Panama in City Beach in May

    What are your BIG Goals?
My big goal is to keep building on what I started and become a more complete triathlete. I want to keep improving in all three disciplines, race smarter, continue building confidence in the water, and show up stronger for my next 70.3 in Panama City Beach. I also want to keep proving to myself that I can balance serious training with business, family, and life while setting the example for my kids that hard things are worth pursuing. Long term, my one-year goal is to complete a full Ironman.

What were some of your biggest Improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run and Nutrition/Health. Please include any personal records and goals achieved.

My biggest success so far was completing Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico, just a few weeks ago. That was a huge milestone for me. Even after crashing on the bike, I got back up and finished the race. I rode the final 16 miles on a broken bike with the brakes engaged and still made it to the finish line. That experience showed me how much stronger I’ve become, not just physically, but mentally. It proved to me that I can stay composed, fight through adversity, and finish what I start.

One of my biggest areas of improvement was the swim. At Miami Man, I really struggled in the water and was swimming around 4:00 per 100 yards. In less than four months, I improved that to about 2:30 per 100 yards in open water at Ironman 70.3 Puerto Rico. For me, that was one of the clearest signs of progress and a huge jump in both confidence and fitness in the water.

On the bike, I became stronger, more efficient, and much better prepared for longer efforts. On the run, I built endurance and learned to keep going even when things got uncomfortable. Nutrition was also a huge improvement. I learned that proper fueling can completely change your performance and how you feel during training and racing.

Name 2 or 3 things that have made the biggest difference in your journey:
Structure, proper fueling, and recovery. I used to think every session had to be all out, but I’ve learned that consistency is what actually builds fitness. I’ve also learned the importance of recovery and letting my body rest so it can adapt and come back stronger. Discipline isn’t always about going harder — sometimes it’s about containing yourself, trusting the plan, and not pushing max effort every time just because you can. That mindset has helped me in training and in life.

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?
For me, it is all about conquering goals that sometimes seem impossible, but rarely really are. It is about battling my own self-doubt.

What excites me the most is the growth that comes with doing hard things and being part of such a badass group of hardworking people. I’ve always prided myself on having a strong work ethic and discipline, but this Full Circle crew is on another level. It’s inspiring and motivating to train alongside such a diverse group of like-minded people who all show up ready to work. That kind of environment pushes you to be better.

What was would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program?
I’d say do it. I came in thinking general fitness would be enough, and I learned quickly that triathlon requires a very different kind of preparation. Having structure, coaching, and support makes all the difference. It gives you confidence, keeps you accountable, and helps you improve in a much smarter way than trying to figure it all out on your own.

  • After a Health Scare, Jorge Said “Yes” to Camp — Here’s What Happened

    Coach’s Notes:

Jorge is a current athlete with Full Circle Coaching, but he was not confident about signing up for Ultimate Tri Camp due to his health.

I suggested he sign up as a motivator to achieve the health he needed to show up by March of this year.

Not only did he achieve his goal, but he also kept getting stronger and more inspired each day of camp. Conquering his own demons in the open water, on the bike, and in the cold plunge.

Jorge, I am so proud of you for showing up and showing us what dedication to health, sport and training looks like. You are a true Rockstar Triathlete, and I’m super excited for your 2026!

    Meet Jorge:

    What is your age?

    50

Why did you choose Ultimate Tri Camp in your triathlon journey?

I’ve been training with Full Circle for about a year and a half and really wanted to take my training to the next level. The opportunity to have a full week where I was able to soley focus on my training was priceless. Also, I remember hearing all the great experiences from my co-athletes who attended last year and I knew I didn’t want to miss it this year.

Please share your big goals and how Ultimate Tri Camp supported you:

After a difficult year facing a significant health crisis, I simply wanted to see if I could do it and complete the more challenging and intense trainings. The coaches worked with me before and during camp to ensure that I was capable and prepared. Also, the focus on recovery throughout camp ensured I was able to complete everything successfully!

Tell me about your success so far:

I’ve had tremendous success across the board during my time training with Full Circle. From setting new PR’s to making it to the podium to proving to myself that I can overcome anything I set my mind to.

What were some of your biggest improvements in performance at Ultimate Tri Camp?

At camp I saw big improvements in my swim and cycling. In the swim my rotation and streamline finally came together. On the bike I was able to ascend and descend Sugarloaf with confidence.

Did you achieve any personal records or goals?

During camp, I was very happy to be able to achieve PRs across all three disciplines. It as a super rewarding week full of achievements!

What excites you the most about being involved in running/triathlon?

There was so much I learned at UTC but the biggest ones were:
    1) That you can train hard with high volume as long as you also focus on recovery.
    2) Time with coaches where they are able to analyze my performance and provide personalized feedback is priceless.
    3) That I’m part of a large community of Full Circle athletes at all levels that often face many of the same challenges I do. I’m not alone.

What was your favorite part of Ultimate Tri Camp?

So many great moments with great people, but the highlight was definitely climbing and descending Sugarloaf. I have never felt so alive!

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?

For me, it is all about conquering goals that sometimes seem impossible, but rarely really are. It is about battling my own self doubt.

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about attending Ultimate Tri Camp?

Don’t waste another minute thinking about it, go for it. Give yourself the gift of being able to do this for one week and you won’t regret it.

Will you be attending Ultimate Tri Camp again next year?

Absolutely plan on registering for next year!

  • How Triathletes Improve Performance: The Power of Small, Consistent Gains

Why incremental gains lead to long-term endurance success

When most people start a fitness journey, they imagine dramatic change.

Six days of training per week.
    Massive workouts.
    Immediate results.

But real progress—especially in endurance sports like triathlon—doesn’t work that way.

You don’t start with a perfect training schedule or elite-level discipline. You start small. Then you adjust. Then you improve.

Long-term success isn’t about going all-in for two weeks and burning out.
It’s about stacking small improvements over time.

Incremental gains may feel insignificant day to day, but they compound into major progress.

Track Your Progress or You’ll Miss It

One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is failing to track progress.

If you don’t write things down, it’s easy to forget how far you’ve come.

Training logs, benchmarks, and regular check-ins help you see improvement that might otherwise go unnoticed.

What you don’t write down, you discount.

Tracking your progress allows you to:

    • See performance improvements
    • Identify what’s working
    • Stay motivated during slower periods of growth

Over time, those small data points tell a powerful story.

Why Athletes Lose Focus on Their Goals

Many people abandon their goals not because they lack effort, but because they focus on the wrong things.

Typically, athletes fall into one of three traps:

    1. Focusing only on the outcome
Winning the race. Hitting the podium. Qualifying for an event.

    2. Focusing on the gap
Comparing where they are now versus where they want to be.

    3. Focusing on someone else’s path
Comparing their training or progress to another athlete.

While these things can provide perspective, obsessing over them can be discouraging and unproductive.

Instead, start by asking yourself three questions:

    • Where am I ultimately trying to go?
    • How far away am I from that goal?
    • What can I learn from athletes who are pursuing something similar?

Then shift your focus to the most important question:

What is within my control today?

Control the Process, Not the Outcome

Many athletes get distracted by things that don’t actually improve performance.

    They worry about:

    • What someone else ran for their splits
    • Conditions they can’t control
    • Trying to rush results

Instead, the most successful athletes focus on the process.

    Start small.
    Start steady.
Trust that consistent work will create results.

    You won’t change everything overnight.

But over time? You absolutely will—if you commit to the process.

The Truth About Success in Endurance Sports

We love the highlights of success:

    • Race wins
    • Personal records
    • Podium finishes
    • Recognition

But here’s the reality most people don’t talk about:

The path to success is often boring.

    It’s early mornings.
    Repeated drills.
    Consistent workouts.
Small improvements that feel almost invisible.

But that repetition is exactly what creates elite performance.

    Success doesn’t happen overnight.

It happens through consistency over time.

A Simple Exercise to Start Improving Today

Choose three skills you want to improve this month.

Focus only on things within your control.

Then create a specific drill or habit to improve each one.

    Examples:

    Goal: Improve race-day pacing
Drill: Practice negative splits during two weekly training runs.

    Goal: Improve swim efficiency
Drill: Add two weekly technique sessions focused on form drills.

    Goal: Manage training time better
Drill: Plan and schedule workouts the night before.

Small, focused actions repeated consistently will create real improvement.

    So ask yourself:

What three things will you work on this week?

    And more importantly…

Are you willing to commit to the process?

  • From First Half Marathon to Ironman Dreams

    Coaches Notes:

Binyamin came to me to learn how to swim safely in open water, and when he saw the rest of the group doing triathlons, he jumped right in!
He has come a long way in just a few months. Always trusting the process, listening to the coaches, and achieving constant, steady improvement. We also love his support and encouragement of all the athletes on the team.

His swim times improved, his bike-handling skills were much better, and his 1-mile run test went from 6:58 to 6:31in just a few months.
    And he just hit a first-time 13.1 in 1:56!

    Super proud of you, Binyamin!
Let’s get that full Ironman done. Love the big goals for 2026 and 2027.

Meet Binyamin, 38 Sports Medicine Chiropractor

Why did you choose FCC to help you on your triathlon/health and wellness journey?

I connected immediately with Coach Erinne on our initial phone call and she is aligned with the health and wellness concepts that I promote in my practice. I had success working with great mentors within the chiropractic profession and in my next phase I wanted to learn from the best coaches and athletes and was organically introduced to Erinne. After our first conversation, I knew this was my path professionally. At this point I made the commitment to become a stronger athlete and improve my skills to compete in triathlons and marathons.

What is your “A” race for this season?

    Swim Miami – 5K

    What are your BIG goals?

To complete IronMan Florida in November 2026, 10 K El Cruce Open water swim, and finish sub 4 hours at Miami full Marathon 2027.

What were some of your biggest improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run, and Nutrition/Health. Please include any Personal Records and Goals achieved.

    Swim
I improved my endurance overall. I got a taste of marathon swimming, completing the 1.75-mile loop around Dildo Island, and a couple of times, completing the 2-mile loop with dolphins and rainbows. I have gotten faster, averaging 1:30 / 100 yards in pool swims and under 2:30 / 100 yards in open water.

    Bike
Completed the Integrity Multisport Key Biscayne Sprint, which involves climbing the Rickenbacker against a headwind, and did a 35-mile ride to watch the Turkey Day race in Homestead. That was really cool, and I faced my fear of biking up and down hills, especially downhill. Now I kinda like it, going 30+ mph.

    Run
Improved my form tremendously and learned to negative-split in training. I just completed my first half-marathon in Miami, finishing in 1:56:56 running in XERO footwear.

Name 2 or 3 things that have made the biggest difference in your journey

The Full Circle Coaching group training and WhatsApp Group Chat was a seamless transition from run clubs I used to frequent, keeping the social benefits of training together and keeping the group chat lit, posting my workouts, and getting everyone’s feedback.

Another thing is the location. We get to use Key Biscayne, an athlete’s paradise, to train each of the skills multiple times per week. It is right down the street, so it’s convenient to get training done early and then head straight to the clinic for work.

What excites you the most about being involved in triathlon?

Being part of such a positive, goal-oriented community not only inspires me professionally but also, as an individual, to push myself to the limits of my potential. Mentally and physically, I am stronger than I have ever been; that is a direct result of my commitment to triathlon and the Full Circle Coaching Coaches and Community.

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program?

Trusting our instincts and quieting that voice of opposition in our head is one of the best outcomes of triathlon training. I have learned to solve problems faster in real time, stay calmer, and feel stronger since I started. It’s normal to question or even doubt, that’s just our brains trying to keep us comfortable. Those of us who really want growth and to feel alive- we focus on that next thing and before you know it you’re finishing your race! Believe in yourself! Trust your instincts!

  • From 10:36 to 8:02 — How Yiming Cut 25% Off her Swim Time!

    Coaches Notes:

After Yiming conquered here first 2 goals of completing a sprint triathlon and getting on the podium in one, I was super excited she was inspired to do my favorite swim race
8 mile Alligator light house swim as a 2 person relay. Of course we started with video analysis of her swim technique above and below the water and tested her fitness with
    a repeatable swim test.

After reviewing her videos and correcting her technique with specific drills her speed started to improve.
She did the workouts in the pool and then added weekly open water swim training up to 4 miles which is what she had to swim during the race.

So many swimmers come to me and think if they want to get better in the open water they need to swim more open water but if your technique sucks it
will only get worse if you just swim volume!

Technique correction is that fastest way to get better. And I guarantee your improvement in 1 session!

I also went live with Yiming, checkout the full video here.

Congrats, Yiming, you are a Rockstar swimmer!

What is your “A” race for this season? *

    Alligator Lighthouse Swim

    What’s are your BIG goals?

My biggest goal is to be fast, be fit and be strong!

What were some of your biggest improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run, and Nutrition/Health. Please include any Personal Records and Goals Achieved.

I started learning freestyle swimming during the summer in 2024.
When I joined Full Circle Coaching last October, my first 400m swim test was 10:36.

This September, my latest swim test for 400m was 8:02.
This 25% improvement, in a year, is a combination of improving my technique and fitness, thanks to Erinne & Full Circle Coaching!

I also got much stronger. I had never been able to do two regular pushups in a row. Now I can do multiple sets of 12!

Name 2 or 3 things that have made the biggest difference in your journey *

Consistent strength training, and targeted physical therapy if needed. It is such a game changer! When training for Alligator Lighthouse 2 person relay, I developed a pain / injury in my right shoulder, probably because I did not have enough strength training to support the increasing mileage I was building in the pool.

Erinne gave me the swim specific and overall general strength training that helped me get pain free for race day along with physical therapy.

With the targeted strengthening exercises, I was able to swim the 4 miles on race day with zero pain. And the pain has never come back.

The other thing is proper fueling and nutrition during training and race day. I find myself unlearning this lesson once in a while. And when that happens, I hit a wall in my session, and realize how important it is to have nutrition with me during training. I always feel much better after eating!

What excited you the most about being in triathlon
The multiple facets of it makes me feel fulfilling improving my speed and mileage. Swimming fast and long requires technique, strength and fitness.

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program? *

Training with Full Circle Coaching will not only get you to your race day goal safely, but will also give you an inspiring community!

  • How a Tri Camp Like Ultimate Tri Camp Makes You a Better Triathlete

If you’ve ever trained for a triathlon, you know the rhythm: early mornings, long solo rides, interval sets, and the constant balancing act between work, family, and recovery.
You also know how easy it is to plateau—or to train hard without seeing the results you want.

That’s where a triathlon training camp can completely change the game.

For six days at Ultimate Tri Camp, you step away from the noise and immerse yourself in an environment built entirely for your progress, physically, technically, and mentally.

It’s not just more training. It’s smarter, supported, and structured so every minute moves you forward.

Here’s how a tri camp like UTC can make you a better triathlete, no matter your experience level.

    1. You Train Smarter, Not Just Harder

In a typical week at home, you’re juggling workouts between commitments.
At camp, every session is intentional, designed by experienced coaches who balance intensity, recovery, and technique across swim, bike, and run.

That means more quality training in six days than many athletes manage in several weeks, without burning out.
Each workout builds on the last, with progressive overload, technical focus, and guided recovery built in.

    2. You Get Expert Eyes on Every Discipline

Every session is led by certified triathlon coaches and specialists across each sport. You’ll receive individualized feedback on your swim stroke, cycling efficiency, and running form.

Plus, every athlete gets video analysis, filmed, reviewed, and discussed, so you can see exactly what to adjust.

That kind of insight is nearly impossible to get on your own.

    3. You Experience True Multisport Balance

Training all three sports in one week can be tricky, too much in one area, and the others suffer.

UTC’s structure solves that by integrating balanced load management: swim, bike, and run sessions that complement each other instead of competing for your energy.

This balance helps you develop durability, refine transitions, and understand how the three disciplines connect during race conditions.

    4. You Learn Recovery, Nutrition, and Holistic Living Like a Pro

The difference between a good week and a great season often comes down to recovery, fueling, and lifestyle.

At UTC, we dedicate time each day to restorative yoga, guided stretching, and recovery education.

You’ll also explore holistic wellness practices, including natural recovery and stress management techniques.

Our guest speaker Natalie, Founder of Rooted In, will share the restorative power of magnesium-infused creams, herbs, and essential oils for recovery, energy, and sleep.

You’ll leave camp not just fitter, but with sustainable habits to help you thrive year-round.

    5. You Gain Confidence and Mental Strength

Something powerful happens when you push beyond what you thought possible, in a supportive environment surrounded by like-minded athletes.

You’ll climb hills you never thought you could. You’ll swim farther and smoother than you imagined.
And you’ll discover that fatigue doesn’t have to mean failure, it’s where growth begins.

That confidence carries into every race afterward.

    6. You Build a Community That Lasts

The friendships that form during camp are real and often last long after the final cooldown.

You’ll connect with athletes of all levels who share the same passion, drive, and sense of fun. Many UTC alumni meet up at races, share training updates, and continue supporting each other throughout the year.

    7. You Learn From Inspiring Guest Speakers

UTC brings together some of the most respected experts in performance, wellness, and holistic health.

    • 🩺 Dr. David Minkoff  of Bodyhealth

    • 🌿 Natalie, Founder of Rooted In – magnesium-infused creams for recovery and wellness

    • 💨 Benjamin Pelton, Breath Reset – breathwork for endurance and relaxation

    • 🏊 Credo Tri Professional Athlete (TBA) – elite racing insights

    • …and more to be announced!

    8. You Leave With a Clear Plan Forward

After six immersive days, you don’t just go home fitter—you go home with direction.

Each athlete receives personalized takeaways and feedback they can immediately apply in their next training block.
