Cheers to Cindy on finishing one of her destination races, Ironman Hawaii 70.3 with a time of 7:26. This race was not easy due to high winds, which knocks athletes down mentally and physically. Great work not allowing the obstacles steer you away from that finish line. Ironman Cozumel training starts soon. Can't wait for this to be your fuel for the results you desire on that island!
Congrats as well to those that swam the 1 mile for the Ocean World Day celebration at Miami Beach. Not only did you get to enjoy beautiful waters, but you chose to help support a great cause on keeping our oceans clean. Thank you Blue Scholars for making this happen with so many more collaborators .
Coach Erinne, Kerry Gruson, and many more also participated at the Miami Relay, which was sponsored by LuluLemon. Running 16+ miles around Miami... epic memories were made by sharing the passion of running with so many different communities.
Cheers ya'll!

ROCKSTAR: MASON FRUIT
Coaches Notes:
Mason called me up, telling me he had three 70.3 races on the books for 2023, and I knew my 16-week Triathlon Transformation program would be perfect for getting him across the finish line faster than ever in the first one (Florida 70.3 in Panama City), and a rinse and repeat program for the next two.
If you have been following me, you know how much I encourage my athletes to get strong and fast before going long.
That is precisely what we did with Mason. First, we did all of his assessments and testing since he is not a local athlete. This is how I get to know you as an athlete and correct your technique and teach you HOW to TRAIN using your individual cardiovascular testing and training zones. We use the information from the assessments to create your training program. We also create your Map to your A Race with shorter distance races to get good at racing!.
We started first with racing a sprint triathlon, then an International, and we also included Swim Miami – both the 800 and 1-mile races, in which he swam the mile faster than the 800 after getting a good warm-up in on the 800!
Racing in these shorter distance races is essential to practice the skills and drills and pacing he was doing in training in race settings.
The result for the first 70.3 is a 6:09
So proud of your success so far, Mason! Let’s get even faster and stronger for the next two!

Many triathletes are confused about what to eat for breakfast when they start to move away from the traditional sugar laden, carb heavy breakfasts like oatmeal and boxed cereals (dead food!)
The following 3, are tried and true breakfasts that deliver nutrients as well as perfect proportions of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. My goal with offering these suggestions is to encourage eating real food before a race or hard training session so that you can get quality nutrition into your body before having to resort to sports nutrition for simple ease of use during a race. There are however lots of great options on the market now to keep it real even during a race.
Ready to learn all the best nutrition plans for your ultimate performance on race day along with every day?
My Nutrition Essentials is starting June 6th.
This program covers all the details about why the Standard American diet (SAD)s making everyone fat.
It is truly up to YOU and you alone to take charge of your health through your daily nutrition, sleep, thoughts, and movement. There is no quick fix or wonder drug that does not have negative side effects.
You can find the link in my IG bio for more information or to sign up.
