PR-Collecting Richie Ganitsky Earns 2023 Male Rockstar Triathlete of the Year

Coach’s Notes:

Richie joined me one year ago as part of my Bring a Buddy week 2022.

He hesitated to join because he had so much experience; he was thinking, what more can I learn? Well, the answer is A LOT. He joined the signature 16-week Triathlon Transformation program and continued as a VIP alumni because of all of the positive results.

I love that Richie has an open mind to embrace the holistic lifestyle and nutrition information to make changes to improve his health and longevity and apply these principles to the training program. Increased energy, the ability to handle big training blocks, and all the technique work with video analysis and testing that we do to help him keep improving.

Congratulations on all your successes in 2023 – You truly deserve to be chosen as Full Circle Coaching’s Athlete of the Year, and I’m looking forward to hitting your sub 6 hours in your next 70.3 and so much more!

About Richie

What is your age?

What is your profession?:

Tax, real estate and probate lawyer

Why did you choose FCC to help you on your triathlon/health and wellness journey?

I chose Full Circle Coaching because of its holistic approach, and I have found this year to have had a happier, more balanced lifestyle, all while setting some personal records out on the race courses!

What is/ was your “A” race for this season?

Clash Daytona Half Ironman 2023

What are your BIG goals?

Next year, I’m looking to set more personal records, especially in the longer distance events such as the 70.3 half-Ironman.

Swim Alligator Lighthouse again, this time in a two-person relay.

Complete my transition to Xero barefoot running shoes.

Improve my technique all around at the upcoming Ultimate Tri Camp, especially biking the hills of Clermont.

Tell me about your successes so far! What were some of your biggest improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run, and Nutrition/Health.

Swim: I improved my technique on the stroke and got to swim in a three person relay the eight mile Alligator Lighthouse race!

Bike: I significantly improved my FTP from 171 to 187 watts and got promoted to the B+ riding group on the Saturday group rides.

Run: I improved my run technique, placing in the top 15% in the Joshua Tree trail Half Marathon, all while wearing my Xero barefoot running trail shoes! 5k PR at 23:12!

PRs: I am also very proud of setting a personal record of 2:23 in the Miami Man International Triathlon, which I have now raced six times! I also set a personal record of 1:09 in the sprint triathlon at Key Biscayne Trilogy and my first 70.3 at Clash Daytona in 6:33.

Nutrition: Making some nutritional changes such as having more sweet potatoes and cutting out some foods has made a positive difference.

Name 2 or 3 things that have made the biggest difference in your journey:

  1. The coaches’ technique tips and guidance
  2. The motivation of my teammates!

What excites you the most about being involved in running/triathlon?

The cross training component, being outdoors in the water and on the road, and the camaraderie!

What would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program?

Join FCC! You’ll have fun all while improving your performance!
