Coach Nico’s got a fever…
You might know him as Coach Nico, but many of our athletes affectionately call him “Coach Cowbell” – and for good reason!
His enthusiastic presence, often accompanied by the unmistakable sound of a cowbell echoing through races, is a powerful motivator, reflecting his unwavering dedication to pushing individuals to their limits. Beyond the spirited cheers, Coach Nico empowers individuals to unlock their potential and transform holistically, integrating mind, body, and spirit – a philosophy cultivated through his diverse experiences in sports, psychology, and business development. His personal journey has instilled a deep understanding of resilience and conditioning, which he now shares with our athletes.
Born in Venezuela and raised in Italy, Nico’s lifelong passion for fitness was sparked early on through soccer and bodybuilding, which later led him to coaching and endurance sports, running several marathons (PR of 3:59:57 Berlin Marathon) and completing Half Ironman’s (PR of 5:31:23 IRONMAN 70.3 Florida).
As a USA Triathlon Level 1 Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Nutrition Coach, Nico offers a comprehensive and evidence-based approach to wellness. His expertise extends beyond physical training, drawing on a Bachelor’s in Psychology and an MBA in International Business. He also has broad experience in social services, focusing on mental health, substance abuse recovery, and homelessness. This unique combination allows him to support others in cultivating inner strength, a positive mindset, and contextualizing their journey, ensuring their lifestyle is sustainable and deeply fulfilling.
Nico’s mission is simple: to “live, love, inspire, and empower.” He specializes in a holistic approach to training mind, body, and spirit for optimal well-being, helping individuals build resilience, cultivate self-awareness, and achieve lasting transformation. He’s not just a coach; he’s a dedicated partner invested in your personal development.
Nico aspires to complete as many marathon majors as possible, to complete 70.3s in all corners of the planet, and to complete at an IRONMAN by his 50th birthday.
And when the going gets tough, remember Coach Nico’s mantra: ‘I’ve got a fever and the only prescription is MORE COWBELL!’ – a playful reminder that sometimes, a little extra encouragement (and the sound of a cowbell!) is exactly what you need to keep pushing forward.
