Richard Proves It’s Never Too Late to Be Your Fittest & Complete Ironman at 50!

It was an easy journey to train Richard for his 2nd Ironman at age 50. To see him hit 1:43/ 100 for the 2.4-mile swim and 19 MPH average on the bike, and a solid run to get sub 13 hours. We are so proud.. Way to go, Richard —you are a Rockstar Triathlete again!

Age & Profession

I’m a 50-year-old Construction Manager. 


Why did you choose FCC to help you on your triathlon/health and wellness journey?

I chose FCC back in 2018 mainly for the nutrition program Coach Erinne had presented to me. As I started the nutrition program I also joined the triathlon training program. My main reason to join was to prepare myself to do Ironman races.


What is your “A” race for this season? *

Ironman Florida


What’s are your BIG goals?

To do a complete Ironman race at 50, under 13 hours!


What were some of your biggest improvements in performance for each of the following? Swim, Bike, Run, and Nutrition/Health. Please include any Personal Records and Goals Achieved.

My biggest improvement by far has been my nutrition. Since joining Full Circle, my eating habits and general health have greatly improved. I no longer take heart burn medication, I eat healthier than I ever have and my body is in the best condition it has ever been. As for training, FCC has made me a very good swimmer, something I had never done competitively.


Name 2 or 3 things that have made the biggest difference in your journey *

Healthier life style and the group training environment.


What excited you the most about being in triathlon

Keeping my body and mind healthy and being outdoors.


What would you say to another person who was on the fence about joining our training program? *

Prior to FCC I had done triathlons and even a half Ironman.
The difference in my body, technique and motivation from being in the group was giant.
